Inshore Fishing
We’ve invested in a beautiful new fishing boat to give you a better charter experience. Fish aboard our 25’ custom Hanson charter boat, designed for fishing and equipped with brand new Suzuki outboards, Minn Kota trolling motors, and Minn Kota Talon shallow water anchors. A new motor means fast, reliable cruising so that we can get to the best fishing spots without any issues.

We also have a technical inshore polling skiff. This 18’ Action Craft is equipped with Power Poles and a Minn Kota trolling motor to get to those shallow fishing spots. It also has a brand new Suzuki motor for fast, reliable cruising!

Offshore Fishing
Our 30-foot Sea Hunt fishing boat features new twin Yamaha engines and state of the art electronics. We’ll get you to the best offshore fishing spots safely and quickly!

Fishing Gear and Electronics
We’ve also invested in the best marine electronics to help us find fish with our Simrad fish finders and GPS. We use only the best fishing equipment and gear with Star Rods and Florida Fish and Product Reels, so you don’t have to worry about dealing with subpar equipment.

Meet Your Fishing Guide

Licensed USCG Captain Jamie Thrappas grew up on the water just outside of Baltimore, MD. The son of a commercial fisherman on the Chesapeake Bay, he grew up learning what it took to successfully bring his catch to the boat. Whether it was spending his summers working on the commercial boat with his dad or the charter boats with his brother and cousins, fishing was no doubt a passion. Upon moving to Florida when he turned 18 to attend college, Thrappas found a renewed love of fishing with all of the different species to target.

Soon enough, his passion for fishing turned into an addiction. 15 + years of fishing in Daytona Beach has certainly allowed for Capt. Jamie to dial in his tactics, which he openly shares his techniques with his customers. Always willing to learn something new and always willing to teach others is what sets Yellow Dawg Fishing Charter apart.
